good energy saving ideas?
i just logged onto Yahoo and say the video of the ice shelf hanging by a thread. i have always been interested in earth and global warming. now i need to help fix it. do you have any easy and maybe even fun energy saving or energy efficent ideas like around the house or somethings like that?
adminsta answers:
-take less showers like everyother day and no longer than 10ish minutes
-don’t keep the water on when you brush your teeth
-unplug! Cellphone chargers and suchh when not in use even when plugged in and cellphone isn’t or hairdryer is and your not using it it still uses energy
-turn off lights!
-recycle and make sure it goes to recycles and not just in the garbage(that may require you taking it their personally)
-don’t use waterbottles constantly or refill waterbottles

Poll: How many of YOU are doing EARTH HOUR?
If you don’t know, Earth Hour started in Sydney, Australia in 2007. It was an act to show support of saving energy and the awareness of global warming. In 2008, it started to happen all over the world. All you have to do is turn off your lights for an hour. It’s taking place tonight from 8:30 to 9:30 pm. It’s a simple way to go green.
You can see a video on it on YouTube. Just type in ‘Earth Hour 2009′ in the search bar.
Thanks ahead of time! ![]()

Nancy asks…
Where can I submit a video game idea?
I have a really cool idea for a video game. Here it is, I want it on PS3, I don’t care if you “steal” it, I just want it to get out there so if you know someone in the video game making service then give this to them, tell them they can mix it up a bit to make it to their liking, please tell me the name of the game if it gets made, here’s my idea: It is a superhero game, you start out making your own super hero, there are various choices of powers such as Fire based attacks, Electric based attacks, Water based attacks, Energy based attacks, Magic based attacks, Strength based attacks, Earth based attacks, Weapon based attacks (such as guns, swords, knives, claws, etc), etc. Then you customize your characters costume/looks such as Hair, Beard, Basic body build, What his skin’s made of if he got mutated into like a thing like the Thing or the Hulk or like a Lizard Man, you can choose from different costumes and emblems, Capes, Boots, Belts, Masks, Metal Armor if you want, Gloves, whatever you want. Then you name him, and you create what he looks like without his stuff on like maybe in a suit and tie, maybe if you made him Hulkish you can make him look human when he’s in his normal form, you can make him just like put down his hood when he wears a hoodie if you want to make it simple, and just put the change back into a simple button. The ability to choose your way of movement would be cool too, like Flight, Super Speed, the ability to climb and jump from rooftop to rooftop really quick would be cool, maybe just jumping super high and stuff, and maybe passing through walls like a ghost, etc. It’d be a cool Free Roam game like GTA, and you can kill/fight anyone with your powers, you start out as an unkown person not a hero or villain, you can just fly or run around killing random people, therefore making your status go more toward villain, or you can fly or run around looking for crimes (which appear on your mini-map) and stop the bad guys, leaning towards hero. You should be able to get in cars or use your powers to blow them up or if you choose a more Strength alignment then you should be able to pick it up and throw it. You should be able to go into all or most buildings, whether you break through the wall, go through it with magic/psychic powers or just go through the door/window. You should be able to interact with whoever you want, you can buy a house if you want or just go in and beat up the person living there and stay there yourself. You start out with a house so you can save, and you can go into stores and buy stuff with money you get by reward for saving people or killing people. You can rob the store or buy new clothes if you want. You should be able to kill EVERYONE if you choose. There should be no limits to the possibilities your powers can be used to do. You should be able to pick up people and fly/run around with them in your hand until you choose to kill them if you even do choose to kill them, you should be able to do pretty much anything. There are others in the city with varying powers that they got, on your map they should be a different color from others. If you choose to fight them then they will be harder to kill and fight back harder. There will be missions to do when you talk to a random cop or if you go inside the police office, unless your more evil aligned, then they will shoot at you and try to kill you. If you are evil aligned then you can talk to thugs and help them, or you can kill the thugs and go on your own, gathering minions to help you, and you only follow your own rules. If you choose to be evil then you can always get evil missions from the head villain in the city who is dressed in all black armor with a long blade coming off of both wrists and he sits on top of the highest statue in the city, he has a cape on that’s black and tinted red on the end. You can still choose to oppose him if you are evil but he will kill you or if you kill him all his superpowered evil minions will turn on you and come after you. If you are good then you can go to the top of the statue and fight him, if you are good you have a better chance of killing him, but it will be hard. He can fly, his armor is made of the most invulnerable metal in the world, and he is fast with his blades, and he can use mind control/dark powers. His dark powers are mostly used to curse you by taking away your movement ability so if you chose flight you cant fly, if you chose superspeed you can run fast until he hits you twice. (That’ll all I really have other than things that don’t matter, I was playing the game in my head while I was typing this, I think it would be a decent game. If you know anyone who could make this happen then let me know, or let me know where I can submit this idea to a game making company or something.)

Donna asks…
How do I show the Love of God to this whole city every day?
Someone told me that compassion comes by reading books like Don Quixote. Now that I know what compassion is, it’s time to move to the next level.
As I understand it, Love is explained by conducting scientific experiments like the rice experiment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_XwaYggLB0. I can define Love as the interaction between the aura of organic material with the aura of the human, which is made pure when the mind is purified. You can see that the cooked rice in the jars has remained white. I wasn’t very faithful to the rice, for I forgot a week here and there to show it Love. Maybe the lack due to my forgetfulness in it’s later days made them smell like Sulfur. Anyway, 132 days passed and the rice is still white. I saw one video online where rice was preserved by Love alone for 1 1/2 years. I think I discovered what Love is.
I spoke to an old man who was experienced in Love about my experiment, and he told me to stop showing love to a jar, and start showing it to people. I now have an inclination to show Love to this whole city because they can be preserved by Love even moreso than the rice was preserved. Really, I have nothing better to do with my life than this. I don’t think I’ll be conducting any more rice experiments to determine what Love can do because I’m ready for people now. But how can I hug the entire population of people every day for 132 days? Or perhaps I can beam my heart energy over the city every day for 132 days, maybe? Is that possible? I better not forget one day in that 132-day period or they’ll start smelling like Sulfur. That would definitely show the Power of Love in the lives of the people because of what it did to the rice.
But really how is this sharing of Love going to save this whole city? I know that Love saves or preserves the soul because of what it did to the rice and the evidence of my parent’s preservation. I know that Love doesn’t discriminate, no matter what religion, Atheism, gender, race and whatever else divides people they are. My parents are preserved by Love and there’s no religion there at all as I observe. I must show this Love to everyone in this city, but how do I do that? And can you help me determine and exact definition of Love? And how can I trample the wrong impressions people get when I show them Love? And how do I approach people with Love? I’ve done it many times before, praying for the injured and even praying for sick trees. But I also freak people out. Why are people afraid? I just find it easier to spread Love by praying for the sick. It’s a lot better that merely saying “hi,” passing people by, though they may have a need for the human touch. The Power of Love can heal people; I know this.
I know that to save the planet, I must work with one person at a time. How can I do this most efficiently? I must have the confidence to go at it with all my heart, leaving all my essence behind. I want to do this for the sake of a peaceful Earth, but I’m not quite sure how. Can anyone give me advice?
adminsta answers:
Simply do this…LOVE When you can! Where ever you can, and watch this seed grow, into a fruit bearing tree, first in yourself then others…
Love when you can… Wherever you can… One gesture given to anyone, is loving …
And… As each of us does this… We play if forward… God causes the increase… Spread love abundantly as well as you can… Be warmth itself… Allow those golden rays of love… To be in your center and they will radiate everywhere!!
God bless, nice question!!

Betty asks…
Does my argument convince you?
Basic Thesis:
reality is assigned … thus the middle way is the safest bet in life … to walk the middle way means to practice moderation, which incidentally will save the environment.
Below is an excerpt from a paper that I’m currently writing as a student in a college course regarding environmental ethics. This, I believe, supports my thesis in showing that values are assigned and not inherent. That is my question to you: “Have I convinced you that values are assigned and not inherant?”:
“…Bashar, in his video, Life is Meaningless, shares with us a very reasonable and liberating view of the world. Listening to his message one is taken to a terrain of life that appears as it would in space. So, for the next moment of your time please imagine yourself as an agent in space, a mere mortal roaming as you might on earth during your first visit- any thing is possible– “Life is meaningless- what we MEAN by that is this: Nothing, no situation and no circumstance actually has built in meaning- it’s neutral, devoid of meaning- it’s a prop. But the meaning you give it, automatically, unconsciously or consciously, the meaning you assign, the definition you assign to any given neutral situation is exactly what determines the effect you will get out of that situation. All situations are fundamentally neutral and can serve double duty. They can create for you a negative or a positive reflection that is solely determined by what energy vibration and attitude and belief system and definition you assign to that situation. So no matter what anyone else’s intention in any given circumstance might be toward you, if you assign only a positive meaning to that given same circumstance and situation then you will only receive a positive effect out of that circumstance no matter what anyone else experiences.”
And so any given phenomenon can be seen as a center of potential that is initially in a neutral state. Being agents of this world, that is, animals that produce actions which produce effects, it is up to each one of us to decide which way to tip the center of potential, whatever center we may be handling at any given moment; and of course, however we tip it- left, right, a little, a lot- the action will produce an effect. This clearly is no new concept as our whole lives are a series of causes and effects.
Bashar isn’t saying “Life is meaningless”, in the literal everyday sense of the phrase. When he says, “Nothing, no situation and no circumstance actually has built in meaning- it’s neutral, devoid of meaning- it’s a prop.”, he’s referring to that one unique point at which an individual first encounters what is a new phenomenon to them, what is a stranger to them. That’s what is meaningless, the prop, at that point of first encounter, because the new observer has yet to assign it value. That is, because the newly observed phenomenon is just that, new to the observer, the observer hasn’t yet assigned value to it, thus, it is meaningless- a prop that is devoid of meaning, or better put, a prop that has yet to be assigned a value that will, along with other values, provide meaning. That makes for a good everyday example:
The Meeting a Stranger:
* I meet a man (he is the neutral prop)
* By some means of communication (speaking with him, stereotyping him, whatever) I assign value to him (good, bad, responsible, dangerous, fun, attractive, potential business contact, whatever).
* So I’ve now assigned value to the previously neutral prop; I’ve decided to view him as a potential business contact– so to me, that is what he is. (But that’s my view, of course; that’s not what or all that he actually is.)
This methodology can easily be applied to value judgments of all sorts. The way I see it, we all just find ourselves existing in what can be called the Void. We choose to name all that we perceive- to give it value, meaning– so to be able to talk about it… Language of course cannot come without agreement. But ultimately, any phenomenon is whatever we, as individuals and/or collectively, choose to believe it is because life is whatever it appears to be to the observer, whether that is what is objectively there or not.
Those who have encountered the phenomenon before you, have assigned it their own meaning. Perhaps you have caught wind of their conceptions of the object; perhaps others have and have choosen to accept that view. Perhaps many chose to believe the one view just because its all they had to go on… That is your job; when faced with an unknown you have to decide whether to accept or reject the others view, to take a look for yourself, or to simply forget about it altogether. But at any rate, that’s all it is is someone else’s point of view; they have assigned the value, the value is not inherent. That is not to say that any given phenomemnon does not inherantly have value, but rather that it does not (most likely) inherently posess the value that any given perceiver has choosen to
adminsta answers:
–”But the meaning you give it, automatically, unconsciously or consciously, the meaning you assign, the definition you assign to any given neutral situation is exactly what determines the effect you will get out of that situation.”
Okay, let’s try this situation. I step out in front of an oncoming train. Is the value I assign the train going to make a difference in the effect that train will have on me if I continue to stand there?
“Hmm, I think that train is friendly. It’s just coming to greet me. It wants to be my frien…”
