Michael Your Questions About Save Energy Save Earth 2pm

Michael asks…

God and the power of free will?

today I went to my parents house to eat “lunch”. In Spain we eat lunch like at 2pm. Anyway, upon leaving I noticed a car with a dog inside. most likely the owner must have been eating at his house or somewhere else. In spain you usually take a siesta after eating on saturdays from 3-5pm to save energy for the night life.

The sun was hitting the car, it’s pretty hot today and the windows were closed. I looked around to see if anybody was a around but there was little I could do.

I came to realize we ourself are the cause of all the suffering and pain we see on this planet today. From our own selfish or careless actions we create havoc and pain. I thought about the wars, rapes, murders, child abuse by parents, racism, and all the suffering and pain we insignificant humans have the power to create.

I also think we are all guilty of some sort of suffering we see today. Wether it is verbal abuse or phisical abuse, I think we all contribute to the suffering of living things. some times you say things that hurt your loved ones or take actions that contribute to the suffering of other humans or animals.

I then thought, what kind of God would let humans like us, imperfect individuals, ignorant in all respects… have this great power to cause pain and suffering to others?

This man that left his dog in the car, was probably careless, didn’t even think or care that the dog was suffering in hell at the moment.
I mean the dog had his toungue out and you could see in his face he was about to pass out.

But at the same time I felt angry about this situation, I also felt guilty, because I know that I sometimes cause pain, carelessly without notice.

Free will is a big mistake. We are not capable of such power, we don’t even deserve it. sorry for my rant, but I don’t understand why God gave us free will. It has created hell on earth and it’s all so insignificant. What do you think?

adminsta answers:

If God is guilty, we must be holy. If God is holy, then we must be guilty. If we are guilty, then God does not need to take responsibility for what we do to ourselves. And yet you are assigning this responsibility to him because you are equating holiness with making sure we are comfortable and happy. Not true. And if you believe God is guilty and we are holy, then why should you care about him?
