Also beware of scams that claim you can build your own panels cheaply and easily, and save thousands. There is no “hidden secret”. If it was so easy to do, the news would spread like wildfire, and be free, like jailbreaking a phone or setting a DVD player to play all regions. Yet, we don’t see people using homemade panels on their houses.

When you see someone with a slick pitch about building solar panels asking for any money at all, it’s a ripoff.
