Sandy Your Questions About Wind Turbines Jobs

Sandy asks…

Just saw this commercial. Shows laid off steel workers. Then the voice says wind turbines will produce jobs?

Liberal Hypocrisy. Aren’t they against pollution? Wouldn’t firing up the steel mills produce more carbon problems?

adminsta answers:

Your right we should just let it go. If people don,t have jobs they can get welfare.
On a serious note. Steel mills can and in fact are being run with less emissions. Just to say building wind mills is hypocrisy is a half truth. I mean can,t we manufacture products with little or no pollution. If not we will never get out of this slump we are in. Innovation is a hallmark of america industry. And even energy conservation and pollution abatement is important to industry. As a way of saving money and attracting customers. Soon industry will be paying for their pollution and that will drive the change. As will customers who will not buy from these company’s who pollute and wast energy.
Hypocrisy i think not.

George Your Questions About Wind Turbines Jobs

George asks…

Where are the non-union wind turbine jobs in the USA?

adminsta answers:

Most wind-turbine proposals seem to indicate the mid-west as the future area of most employment. There would be both union and non-union jobs available, although the IBEW is trying hard to unionize them wherever possible. I doubt IBEW will have much success, though, so you should probably concentrate on finding wind turbine jobs wherever they exist, without regard to unionization, and then look into that, plant by plant. If GM can use non-union workers at the lithium-ion battery plant in Brownstown, Michigan, a very important new plant that isn’t hiring any of the laid-off UAW workers, organized labor seems to be in for hard times.
