wind energy project!!!!!!?
ok so im supposd to doa poster with four other people about wind energy..
the questions are…
is wind energy renewable or non-renewable?
how is it used?
a map of the places where wind energy is used.
how humans can conserve wind energyor make it better?
the positive nad negative effects.
any laws associated with the resource…
and pictures of the resource..[[wind energy]]
you dont have to answer the question but you can if youwant[[please?]]
or gibe me the websites for theses answers..
thx!!!
the one who gives me the best will automatically get the best answer!!!!!!!

Wind energy is used to make electricity
Texas is the biggest producer of wind power, followed by California then Oklahoma is in there. It is in Europe too.
I see no need to conserve wind energy any more than any other (turn out the lights when you leave the room) but you can in Texas from some electrical providers choose wind energy as a preference I hear to help the environment.
Generation of wind energy causes no pollution and is a never ending resource. Taxes are paid to local schools from wind energy. It creates jobs. It saves coal and gas. Land owners get paid lease money.
Some people say it kills birds and destroys the views.
Some people have attempted to sue wind companies with no success because they say it kills their property values.
Building permits may be required, the U. S. Government law gives tax incentives to wind energy, local governments often offer tax abatement’s to get wind farms in their area.

Michael asks…
Help answering some questions about wind generated energy?
- where in Canada/Ontario is this method used?
- advantages and disadvantages of using this method
- benefits or hazards to the environment when using this method
- how does energy production using this energy source compare with energy production from solar power?
- how much energy can be produced by this method; is it enough to be used alone or must it be used with another energy source?
- summarize the process
- are there any commercial products that you know of that are powered by wind energy?
If you could help answers any of these questions, or just give me good pictures or websites to find information on it would be super helpful. Thanks! ![]()

Helen asks…
What are some examples of Nuclear Energy?
Ok I have a school project due tomorrow (January 5, 2010) and we have to make a poster with the name of the energy, a picture showing an example, and the definition. I have all the titles and definitions but only 6 out of the 7 pictures. I need some examples for Nuclear Energy. These are what I used for the others. Please tell what I can use for Nuclear Energy really soon.
Electrical Energy- T.V.
Radiant Energy- Burning Candle
Chemical Energy- An Unlit Match
Mechanical Energy- Wind Turbine
Acoustic Energy- Radio
Thermal Energy- Boiling Water
For Nuclear my friend was using a Power Plant but I didn’t think it would work. Please tell me if it would and I’ll use it but if you have a better one I’ll use it. Thanx if you can help.
adminsta answers:
Every nuclear power plant in the world uses nuclear fission to heat water, to make steam, to drive a turbine that generates electricity.
Nuclear weapons (usually fission-fusion-fission) are very vigorous uses of nuclear energy.
Our Sun and every other healthy main sequence star is just a massive nuclear furnace, where hydrogen is being fused into helium, releasing the energy that we use as heat, light, and is we wanted, conversion to solar-electric power.

George asks…
Stator and generator design say for wind energy?
I have seen some picture of both dual magnet and single magnet. What is the benefit of dual magnets (one on either side of the stator coils)?
I have also seen stators with over lapping coils. Does this generate more electricity? Is there a specific pattern to follow to avoid coil to coil interference?
Also, does the gauge of wire differ depending on the strength of the magnet? If so how do you measure the magnet strength and determine what gauge to use?
Actually a good website with basic information and diagrams would be helpful. I Googled and have been wading though lots of sight but have not found a really basic page yet.
Txs
adminsta answers:
You will likely fine that the magnets in a generator are always in pairs. It’s to do with the interaction of the magnetic fields. So I don’t know what you were looking at with a single magnet system ????
Over lapping coils is to do with design structure.
I’m not aware of so call coil to coil interference. I don’t identify this as been an issue.
There is a three phase structure for coils.
The thickness of wire is mainly concerned with electrical current, the thicker the wire the more current it will carry.
There are number ampage charts for current rating. There are varies formula to calculate the magnet strength, based on what information you have.
I’m not sure about web-sites, but there are good electrical, and electrician book you could read up on.

Sandra asks…
Would like to install either solar or wind energy into my home. Tons of questions, battery’s.size of windmill,c?
hargers how to……you get the picture. Any help would be great. Maybe some specific websites, thanks
adminsta answers:
For Solar Energy, you’re going to have to put in at least $20 – $30,000 for the panels. You’re going to have to have some sort of storage tank for the stored energy to be released by your Solar Panels into. With extra energy, you can sell it to power companies for some $$. You need a storage tank because, what if you have a cloudy day? You need some of that energy to back up your refrigerator or computer!
~Hope this helps! It costs you a lot at first, but it all works out in the end!

Energy Chains Homework Help!?
I need to draw picture of energy chains. I have to show fossil fuels, biomass in the form of dung, wind power, wave power, and solar power. I wasn’t at school for the explanation of what any of these are and I need help to as to how I should draw them. Thanks in advance. ![]()
